I left early Tuesday morning to get a flight to Zurich from city airport. My flight left at about 7 and I arrived at zurich airport at about 8:30, I had to get on 4 trains to get to Davos Plats. When I arrived at Davos Donnie from Synergy Snowsports was there greet me. I dumped my bag at a shop that Donnie knew and I just wondered around town for a few hours whilst Donnie was working. At about 4 I met Donnie at the bus station to go to the place they stay. I met the rest of the synergy crew and unpacked. I had dinner which was my favorite spag bog, And then went to bed.

Wednesday.

It had dumped it down that night so we decided to go to RinerHorn, which was amazing for powder. I had a new Flow Shifty 140, which was a camber so it wasn’t amazing for powder, but still fun. We went into this forest called Sherwood forest ( that’s what Donnie calls it ) which had pillows it had everything for perfect powder riding. I stacked it about 4 times in 1 run but it was so much fun so I didn’t care. After a hard days snowboard we went back to the house and got ready to go to the steak house with all of the synergy customers.. we arrived at the steak house a just ordered a small one and still couldn’t finish all of it. But still had room for desert.

Thursday.

There was still plenty of snow so we went back to Rinerhorn to ride Sherwood forest for most of the day and I did some piste and went back for dinner and for an early night.

Friday.

Friday we went to a different mountain called Jackobshorn, which had a park, which was sick it had a 3 line of kickers, 2 wallrides and loads of rails.  The kickers were perfect for spinning I didn’t spend long in the park because it was cloudy you couldn’t really see well.

Saturday.

Saturday the weather wasn’t very good but we still went riding for a few hours

I rode the park for a few hours and hit the piste and mucked about. And went back to watch some movies

Monday.

Monday Donnie and I worked in the pipe for practice for the BEO, we worked on dropping in on both sides and getting the angles right for a good hit. We practice for most of the day until about 3 we got a drink and went back to get changed to go to the chamey bar. For a drink and game of table football, after about an hour we left to go to bed.

Tuesday.

toda we rode a different mountain called Pisha, it was half an hour train ride and a ten minute bus ride, but i only rode for and hour because i had to go back to jackoshorn to ride pipe with Donnie, i was also riding with Max Thilding, Nathalie Silkstone and Ayla Thilding.

Thursday.

toda my dad and Richard Clark arrived, so we bought a days lift pass and went up on the mountain. it was a bluebird and everything was shaped.to we spent some hours there filming and then headed back to the house for me to pack to go to laax.

I left on Friday to go to the world rookie fest, it took about 6 hours to get to the hotel we were staying in, which was in France.  The next day we left about 11 in the morning to get to Zurich train station to pick Nathalie Silkstone and Ayla Thilding. We arrived in Livigno at 3 in the afternoon, so we had to go and get registered for the comp. we went back to the apartment to have dinner and have an early night. The next day I woke up at 7 and got ready straight away, we had breakfast and went straight up the mountain, it was a bluebird day and everything was groomed, the park looked sick. The kickers were big, but the rails hadn’t been put in yet. The practice start at 11 and the kickers were great, after a few hours of practice we decided to have lunch and head down to the bottom.

It as Monday and it was day of the qualifications for the Groms and rookies, I was 4^th to have my run and I was nervous but exited, the run in to the first jump was so bumpy and quite hard to control  but it was a nice kicker I landed my whole u with no hands down so I was happy and I did the same on my second run and managed to keep it clean.  After my second run the rest of the day was messing around and riding with Jamie Nicholls and other people. We had lunch and went to the bottom.

On the Tuesday it was the finales and I was just riding around all day.  At about 6 o clock in the evening there was prize giving.

Chamonix

After the world rookie fest we decided to go to cham for a few days, because they had lots of snow, we arrived in Chamonix at about 7 at night, so we had dinner and went to bed the apartment we were staying in was called  Chalet Chez Nous and it belong to The Thilding family. The next day me and max decided to go up and ride for a bit, but it was cloudy so we decided to make a quaterpipe, I hit it first and it sort of worked but you didn’t get much speed. So we decided to go back to the apartment and chill out. The next two days we didn’t go riding because the weather was bad. So we just chilled out and watch DVD’s and went in the hot tub. It was the last day of chamonix and it had dumped it down that night, I was sad to be leaving but it was cold and had school to go to. We arrived home on the Monday and I had to go to school the next day.

With enough sweets/candy to keep any dentist happy for years and a pair of bindings up for grabs, it was a night worth waiting for.

Well what can I say It was the best holiday of my life. I left to get to the airport on Wednesday morning and would be back the following Thursday, so I was there for 8 days. I had to fly from Heathrow to Toronto and then on to Portland. It was a long flight but I managed it without feeling tired. Once I arrived at Portland airport there was a guy from Windells camp to greet us and put us on the Windells bus. The man driving us to the camp said we wouldn’t make it back for dinner so we stopped for a Taco Bells which was sooooo good. We arrived at camp at 10 at night and I was tired. I met all the guys at Flow and then went to bed. The next morning we had to get us up at 6:30 (which I was not ready for), to get breakfast and get up on the mountain. Thursday was the day that we just shred around and have fun
After riding we headed down to camp and from there to about 9 at night it is carnage people doing back flips on trampoline people skating around and just generally having fun. I wasn’t really used to the food because it was self service and it was food like tacos and burgers and just different food but it was still nice.

Everyday was the best day getting to ride with top pros such as Tim Humphreys, Brandon Reis, Danny Buller, Pat Moore, Jed Anderson, Sarka Panchovia and Dylan Thompson. Filming with top photographers and videographers. It was a great park, everything was flowing so you didn’t have to stop all the time. Once the day finished I would get changed as fast as I could to be the fast one to the foam pit. I was in there at the end of riding until bedtime everyday. Wednesday was the last day of the US for me which I was upset about I went to the shop and I bought a few souvenirs and then packed for the trip back home. I had met some great people that I will hope to see at ISPO this year. And I can honestly say for a hyper kid like me a was so tired I could have slept for a week. My first flight back I was with a guy that was at the camp so we just talked about snowboarding and stuff and then at Calgary where I had to catch my flight back to the UK I had to run for because the flight from Portland was delayed. The flight back to the UK was 8 hours long. When I arrived back at Heathrow my Mum and Dad were there to greet me.

Saturday we went to the Oakley Grom games, at Chill Factore, Manchester, we didn’t make it last year because we were stuck in a traffic jam for 5 hours, there was really bad accident. This year we managed to get up there in time, just. I started practise, on a really sick park set up. There was a donkey dick, barrel stall, a massive ribbed pipe and loads of other features. We only had 1 hour to practise and the landings were pretty icy. After there was a massive jam session for 1 ½ hours. I had a bit of a hard slam on the ribbed pipe, I was trying to do a cab hard way one on, but caught my tail, just as I left the takeoff and I slammed my ribs against the pipe, it really hurt, no pain no gain I suppose.
After the jam session had finished it was the prize giving. I got first which I was really stoked about. In the prize bag I got a pair of Oakley goggles, a t-shirt and a Oakley rucksack. Well done to Jake Binnee for getting second and Billy Cockrell for 3rd.
